Understood, but your probably better off querying xsl forums to find an answer.

Like you described I'm doing the work externally, running a script and pre-processing the xml before feeding it to the BIRT engine.

Thanks a lot.
It's not a matter birt or Jasper(ireport).
My Idea is to parse an xsl-fo file and to generate an equivalent jrxml file. My problem is where to find all tags of each one and the Matching between them. It 's hard to make from zero.

Good question, unfortunately I don't have a good answer.

There doesn't seem to be a way in BIRT to specify a translation directly.

That being said I've been experimenting with both the scripted data source as well as using an event handler on the data source. Using this allows me to run the accurev commands directly and then force the results.

The downside (so far) to using scripted is that it is harder to use dynamic columns and dynamic commands.

I'm making more progress with java based event handlers, but I have to learn a lot of the BIRT internal object structures to get there.

Hello,
How can I import xsl file in Birt as a Design.
I used Fop, but now I want to migrate to Birt without needing neither xsl nor fop.
Any idea please?
I'm so thankfull.
