I discovered that on Windows you can use DebugView to see the command line commands that AccuRev runs, like tip #10, except not requiring a restart.

Hmmm, I do this all the time. Since it sounds like you're an existing customer, I'd suggest that you contact Support@accurev.com - our Support team is top notch and they will have the bandwidth to debug your specific situation.

Incidentally, have you tried the "accurev chws" command from a shell? You can use the -m flag to change the machine where the workspace tree is located...

I attempted to utilize tip #8 from this post, but it's not working for me - I can't get any dialog box when I attempt to Edit a workspace. Here's what I tried:

1) Switched workstations. Old workstation is offline.
2) Installed and ran AccuRev on new workstation.
3) Selected View -> Workspaces. Workspaces created on old workstation appeared.
4) Right-clicked one, selected Edit. Nothing happened.
5) Left clicked a workspace to select it, selected Actions -> Edit. Nothing happened.

I'm using AccuRev 4.5.3, with Java VM 1.5.0_06.

For now I just created a new workspace with a different name for the same stream, but I don't like having these old workspaces (that I could use! they have kept files!) floating around in limbo. Any ideas?

These are some great tips. I especially like Multiple Columns mode. I was wondering if other people thought it would be useful to be able to sort by date in a "fuzzy" way -- group things by how many days/weeks ago they were modified.

One question: why aren't there keyboard accelerators for the Actions menu? It is a bit annoying. Also, it would be nice if there was a keyboard command for Edit|Search.
